CHILD PROTECTION POLICY STATEMENT

Bytomic Tae Kwon Do will:

  • Accept the moral and legal responsibility to implement procedures to provide a duty of care for young people, safeguard their well-being and protect them from abuse.
  • Respond to any allegations appropriately and implement the appropriate disciplinary and appeals procedures
  • Respect and promote the rights, wishes and feelings of young people and disabled adults
  • Recruit, train and supervise instructors and assistant instructors to adopt best practice to safeguard and protect young people from abuse, and themselves against false allegations.
  • Require instructors and assistants to adopt and abide by our Code of Ethics and Conduct and Child Protection Policy and Procedures and to complete a Criminal Records Bureau check.

INFORMATION COLLECTION POLICIES:

Bytomic Taekwondo collects the information you provide at registration including your name, e-mail address and a password.

We may use this information to, for example:

  • e-mail you with information about the Website or other Bytomic Taekwondo (btkd.co.uk) products and services.

  • understand how you have been using the site and tailor the information we provide to you accordingly.

  • automatically complete forms on the Website with your details.

  • allow independent auditors to verify Website usage statistics.

You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to access and disclose individually identifiable information concerning your activities whilst using our web site, we shall do so.

We also reserve the right to disclose individually identifiable information to third parties where a complaint arises concerning your use of our web site, and that use is deemed by us inconsistent with these conditions.

You agree that you do not object to us contacting you for any of the above purposes whether by telephone, e-mail or in writing and you confirm that you do not and will not consider any of the above as being a breach of any of your rights under the Telecommunications (Data Protection and Privacy) Regulations 1999.

REGISTERED MEMBERSHIP:

Bytomic Taekwondo (btkd.co.uk) provides registered membership for its students. At any time after the registration process, registered users can choose to unregister by electing to unsubscribe, this option can be found at the end of each Bytomic Taekwondo (btkd.co.uk) correspondence sent to users.

Bytomic Taekwondo (btkd.co.uk) will not collect any information from children under 16 without their parents' consent. If we become aware that this has occurred, we will immediately close the account and nullify all personally identifiable information collected from them.

Bytomic Taekwondo will only keep your personal information on file so long as you remain a member of our organisation. You agree to us contacting you by post, phone, email and text on any matter concerning your membership (including but not limited to: keeping you informed of any changes to classes, news and events). You have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation to access, change or delete any of the personal information we hold on your behalf. You have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office should you think there is a problem with the way Bytomic Taekwondo is handling your data. 

Business Transfers
In the event that all or substantially all of the assets relating to Bytomic Taekwondo (btkd.co.uk) are transferred or sold to another entity, personally identifiable information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

Special Cases
We may also disclose personally identifiable information to third parties when required by law or is pertinent to judicial or government investigations or proceedings, or otherwise necessary to protect our Web site or the safety of its users. Other than as set forth above, we do not at present intend to use your personal information for other purposes.

The continued use of the Bytomic Taekwondo (btkd.co.uk) web site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept such changes, and be deemed to apply to the revised policies and new or modified features. However, in the event there is a material change in our data collection, use or disclosure practices, we will obtain a new consent.
